Fighting Frizz? Here Are Some Tips to Tame Your Beautiful Mane!

Frizzy hair is the effect of different individual hair fibers running in multiple directions, which is why frizzy hair has a rough feel to it. As a result, hair appears dry and frizzy instead of smooth and defined.

Do you have frizzy and thick hair and your looking for a bit more of a smoothing effect? First, preventing frizzy hair starts in the shower... your hair is seeking MOISTURE! Here are some of my top products that I recommend for my frizzy girls:

  1. Smoothing Shampoo: formulated to gently cleanse and nourish while smoothing and softening the hair cuticle to reduce frizz. Formulated with Rejuveniqe, and infused with an exclusive blend of amino acids for total frizz control, Smoothing Shampoo takes charge to reduce dry static fly-aways, de-frizz, and resist humidity for a smoother, sleeker, silkier look.

  2. Smoothing Conditioner: Smoothing Deep Conditioner works on all hair types to nourish, control frizz and add brilliant shine. It is light enough for daily use and does not weigh hair down. It restores softness and shine, and protects hair from humidity.

  3. Frizz-Fix Hair Primer: A leave-in pre-styling treatment that helps control frizz, and defends against humidity, for long-lasting definition, shine, and smoothness.

  4. Rejuveniqe Oil Intensive: Put a few drops in your styling product to fight frizz. While you get the results you want to help tame frizz, this plant-based oil is also going to help promote healthy hair. Mends split ends, promotes hair growth, balances scalp oil production, the list goes on.

In addition to shower and styling products, here are a few additional tips to keep in mind:

  1. Avoid using a cotton towel to dry your hair. Cloth towels can add damaging friction to your hair. Instead of drying your hair with a cotton towel, air dry your hair or use a microfiber towel.

  2. Avoid using a traditional bristle hairbrush. Certain hairbrushes can damage hair cuticles and lead to frizz. Switch to a wide-tooth comb to prevent breakage.

  3. Avoid using an old blow dryer. Traditional hair dryers use hot air to quickly dry your hair. Excess heat can damage your hair and lead to frizz. Instead, pick an ionic hair dryer to reduce damage while drying your hair.

  4. Avoid washing your hair every day. Washing your hair too often can deplete your hair of moisture and raise your hair cuticles, both of which contribute to frizz. Instead, wash your hair 2-3 times a week to prevent frizz.
